We Care – Social Responsibility

“There is neither greater joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life”.

The WE CARE club of TSM organized a social welfare event called Genesis’17 which became a great success. We TSMites organized this event in the commemoration of our TSM Alumni, Mr. Siva Subramanian who passed away on August 14th a few years ago. This year on 24th of August we had activities like Blood Camp and Old age home visit under this event. TSMites participated with great zeal with the motivation and guidance of our faculty members.

We are always encouraged to devote ourselves towards the principle of community service and be generous at TSM. Organizing a blood donation camp under the banner of Genesis is just another step towards this direction. TSM feels proud to have active blood donors who rolled up their sleeves and participated in this camp. Usilampatti Government Hospital and SHE welfare trust was able to collect 63 units of blood from TSM which will save lives somewhere someday. Donors were enticed with a certificate of appreciation for this service to humanity.

Following this activity we visited Barathi academy trust at Muthuramalingam Street, Pykara which houses around 50 senior citizens who were physically ailing and suffering from age related disorders. It was heart wrenching to see around 50 old age people left all alone by their families. We offered prayers and we were blessed to serve lunch for them with a humble contribution by our TSMites. We spent quality time by interacting with them and also clicked a few snapshots.

These social activities will be progressing in TSM every academic year and we will do our best to keep serving the humanity.
